With several different programs and more than a few weird acronyms, it can be a little odd to figure out where exactly to jump in and get involved with RTR. Here are some ideas
Go To Our Events
Perhaps the simplest way to get involved is to attend the events that sound interesting to you. Our Meetup site has a list of all upcoming events.
Chat With Us
Join our Facebook Group or our Discord Server (or both!) and chat with other gamers in the Raleigh area.
Demo Something You Love
Our community is always excited to try new systems and the best way to do that is a Try It Out session from someone who’s excited about that RPG. Reach out to our Special Events Organizer to discuss scheduling your Try It out. We’re excited to hear from you!
Another great way to run a single session for the RTR community is our Special Events. These day-long events are often themed, letting you easily slide into a group of gamers with similar gaming interests.
Try It Outs and Special Events are also a great way to let the community learn about your style of GMing, especially if you want to volunteer as a staff member in our Semi Organized Play program.
Volunteer With Our Semi Organized Play Campaigns
We’re always looking for volunteer staff for our most popular program. These are longer commitments, with the campaign itself running for 3 months each year and then often many meetings between season to plan out what happens next. We usually recommend you play in the SOP for a season before volunteering to join the staff so you can get a feel for the existing volunteer and player base and, of course, the game itself.
