Semi Organized Play

The concept of Semi-Organized Play (SOP) Campaigns is modeled loosely on the concept that Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons have used successfully for year. The players in each SOP represent some sort of gathering of characters with a shared goal and purpose. The settings of these SOPS vary wildly, from super hero teenagers attending high school to brave investigators of Gaslight London fighting for Humanity against the agents of Mythos.

Game play is divided into season that correspond with the four quarters of the calendar year. Games switch each quarter and often return for followup seasons in the future. Currently we play on second and forth Fridays and second and forth Sundays, with each session offering two to four different games in the SOP setting.

For more information about the individual SOP programs themselves, follow the links to the right. If you have questions about the SOP program in general, reach out to the SOP Organizer

A Dream, Awakened

The troubles of a small town. Will there be enough rain this season? What to do about these pesky rats in the barn? Why are those families always fighting? Will the Singing Stag ever fix that step that people always trip on? Life was simple when all that there was to be worried about were such mundanities.

Unfortunately, life never stays so simple forever. The timeworn clashes between Good and Evil, between Order and Chaos, ensure it. And from time to time, aspiring adventurers must band together to protect their home from those who would destroy what they have built. Join together as the sword and shield of your home and protect both your own lives and livelihoods and those of your fellow Quillpond residents.

A Dream, Awaked runs on Fridays from April to June. It uses the D&D 5th Edition system.

Beam Saber Banner

Future Crisis Battle Brigade

Future Crisis Battle Brigade is a multi-GM, many-Player Community Campaign run for members of Raleigh Tabletop RPGs using the Beam Saber TTRPG system. A descendant of the Forged in the Dark framework, Beam Saber is a game of passionate, dramatic mecha Pilots striving to survive a forever war waged by five massive factions, the Sovereigns, in a distant future. Working together in Squads, the Players’ Pilots take on dangerous missions, attain their goals by whatever means they decide, and come together once more at their home base to recover and prepare for the next mission.

Session 0 will take place online via RTR’s Discord server.
