The game uses the Cypher system by Monte Cooke Games. \nPlayers will not need familiarity with the Cypher system or the Old Gods podcast\, though I strongly recommend the podcast. \n\nPre-generated Characters will be provided and yours to keep.\nThis game uses 1d20 and percental dice (usually 2d10\, with one die marked as the 10s digit). A d6 is also useful. Dice will be available for use.\nPlease bring a pencil or other favorite writing instrument and perhaps some spare paper for notes.\n\n\nBest Leave Them Ghosts Alone (GenCon exclusive intro module) \nGoing to the funeral of a childhood friend is never an easy thing\, but when it’s the funeral of someone you accidentally killed and then brought back to life years ago\, well…you all have your owes\, and this one’s about to come due. \nCW: Child Death; Grief; Funerals; Ghosts; Hauntings

DESCRIPTION:General Overview\nRTR Casual Meets have a long and storied history as places where Triangle-area gamers can gather for casual conversation and fellowship. They’re a great place to both catch up with old friends and reminisce about great games that came before and to meet new and interesting people and even find players/GMs for future games! \nIn the future\, we might occasionally offer an optional RPG-related workshop or roundtable\, and it’s totally alright to bring a short boardgame or card game you’d like to play\, but the Casual Meet is primarily intended as an unstructured social gathering. \nFeel free to bring a friend\, but please try to add a +1 to your RSVP here on Meetup if you do so; we try to provide the host with as accurate a number as we can ahead of time. \nEvent Fee\nAn event fee of $2.50 is charged to attendees by Gamers Geekery & Tavern. If this is a barrier of entry for you\, please contact Spencer through Meetup\, or on Discord @Spoons#1000. Spencer has agreed to handle the fee for individuals needing such accommodations. \nFeedback and Future Events\nSpencer will be collecting feedback after the Casual Meet\, and your thoughtful response is greatly appreciated. We’d like to see more events like this in the future but want to be inclusive of as many people’s time\, availability\, and interests as we can. We might alternate days future events are held\, try out different venues\, and even play with the format of the event itself.

We’ll discuss what’s come before and what lays ahead\, establish ground rules and etiquette for the season\, and update and/or create characters with the players for play in the game. \nWe will all start together via Jit.si videochat\, then shift into smaller groups for work on characters. Please try to come prepared to give us an “elevator pitch” about your character — a 30-45-second summary of who they are\, what they do\, what makes them unique\, etc. If it helps\, think of *Fate* aspects like a High Concept and a Trouble.
